Adam & Kim’s Christmas Trees
Our truck is set to arrive on Friday with plenty of fresh trees direct from Oregon. We look forward to seeing old friends and new faces.
Adam & Kim’s Christmas Trees is an Eldorado-owned and operated business run by local firefighters. A portion of proceeds is donated to El Dorado Volunteer Fire & Rescue.
Once again, we will be offering quality, fresh-cut Christmas trees from Oregon. Douglas fir, Grand Fir, and Noble Fir will be available in sizes from tabletop to tall trees. Wreaths, garland, and chili ristras will also be available.
Our trees have just been harvested and will soon be on their way to Eldorado where they will be looking forward to the recent stormy weather – just like in Oregon!
Opening Saturday November 28th, at the north parking lot of La Tienda
We offer local delivery. Any questions or if you need to reserve a tree if you are coming from out of town – Call Adam (505) 930 0870

Greetings from Las Chivas Coffee. The rumor is true! Las Chivas Coffee is now open at La Tienda!
Even though we called the Agora Shopping Center our home for 20 years, we are excited about the change to La Tienda for the next 20 years! The response we are experiencing to our move news has been nothing short of tremendous.
The folks at La Tienda have not only been wonderfully welcoming but enormously supportive and over the top helpful. Steve and Destiny’s friendliness and genuine interest in Las Chivas Coffee has been a breath of fresh air for us. We are inhaling deeply! We look forward to meeting new neighbors and making new friends!
Cheers from Lynn and Ted
La Tienda is thrilled to welcome Oasis Cafe to La Tienda! They are located in Building A (just down from Eldorado Hardware) and are open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am to 8 pm.
The Mediterranean menu features Gyros (regular, chicken, and even a Vegan option), Panini’s, Sandwiches, Salads, and Fresh Soups. The restaurant is a fabulous new choice in the Eldorado area.
Call in an order at (505) 467-8982.
La Tienda is thrilled to welcome The Pink and The Blue to the Eldorado community. The store plans to open at the beginning of March and is accepting consignments now. If you have clothes you would like to consign, please contact Sasha at (505) 485-7862 to set up an appointment.
Some of you remember the tumbleweeds clusters in the doorways, the bare dirt tract that is now a parking lot, the empty brown halls. To those that do, thank you for sticking with us, building with us, and making something from nothing with your giant hearts, helping hands, and ongoing support.
Wood is the symbol of the 5th. It represents strength and a solidified relationship. We think that’s appropriate. Over the last five years we’ve matured. Our businesses have strengthened and our relationship with you has grown and solidified. We feel vibrant, coursing with renewed energy and optimistic about the future and we are celebrating!
On Saturday, from 12 – 4 pm, we’re throwing a party. We have two amazing duos providing live music, three huge cakes, and more. Details on the duos are below, as are details on some of the other simultaneous celebrations.
Please join us and let us thank you personally for helping to make these five years so rewarding.
It’s here. 2,900,012 parts have been sorted, hung, and somewhat organized. Okay, maybe not that many, but it sure feels like it. Our hats are off to every owner of every hardware store under the sun!
We’re not quite there yet, but we’re having a party to celebrate our opening and by Saturday, October 25, the floors will be swept, the clutter cleared, and the baby in the bucket returned (against her will) to the family that loves her.
Join us between 12 and 4 pm for free hot dogs, door prizes, and giveaways.
More importantly, help us celebrate with jokes and laughter, great conversations, and your suggestions for how we can make this hardware store even better.
Many of you already know this, but now we get to make it official. A little over a month ago, Linda Miller of The Country Store dropped by to let us know that she and Chris are retiring and The Country Store is closing at the end of September (or sooner). Concerned about the impact their retirement would have on the community, she asked if we wanted to buy the remaining inventory and fixtures and move the hardware store to La Tienda.
The answer was yes. However, we didn’t want there to be a gap in continuity of service, so we decided to acquire additional inventory and be ready to open as they got ready to close.
We’re opening as a True Value Hardware store because True Value is a buying co-op, not a franchise. Joining the co-op allows us access to their purchasing power (making us price competitive) while retaining our ability to custom tailor the store to this community. We are working closely with Linda and Chris to ensure that products like bird seed and soil mender will still be available. In addition, we’re adding categories not previously available in this market. We hope to open near the beginning of September.
When Eldorado Hardware opens, Steve will nestle Computer Works inside it and you’ll always be able to drop your computer off for repair because Steve will finally have some help.
The new store will be 50% larger than The Country Store. It will have a tool rental section, screen repair, glass cutting, a color matching paint system, an automotive section, and much more. We’re taking suggestions now and will do our best to stock the products you want. If we can’t stock it, we will be able to special order anything. You can follow our progress on Facebook.
In the meantime, we want Chris and Linda to get as much value out of their inventory as they can. They’ve begun their sell down and now is a great time to stock up on the stuff you might need. Everything’s on sale. Even if you don’t need anything, stop by and let them know how much you appreciate everything they’ve done for this community over the last 21 years!
Join us this Saturday from 5-7 pm for free appetizers, live music and to welcome our newest additions and improvements.
