Las Chivas Coffee Now Open!

Las Chivas-color (2)

Greetings from Las Chivas Coffee.  The rumor is true!  Las Chivas Coffee is now open at La Tienda!

Even though we called the Agora Shopping Center our home for 20 years, we are excited about the change to La Tienda for the next 20 years!  The response we are experiencing to our move news has been nothing short of tremendous.

The folks at La Tienda have not only been wonderfully welcoming but enormously supportive and over the top helpful.  Steve and Destiny’s friendliness and genuine interest in Las Chivas Coffee has been a breath of fresh air for us.  We are inhaling deeply!  We look forward to meeting new neighbors and making new friends!

Cheers from Lynn and Ted

Instead of the traditional gifts, shop for something unique and useful!

3rd Annual Cowgirl Christmas at La Tienda

It’s almost time for Cowgirl Christmas at La Tienda in Eldorado – our favorite day of the year! This year it will be Saturday, December 6 from 10:00am – 4:00pm in building B.  We’ll have Joel Bernstein to sign his newest book due to be released just about then, an exhibit of art by Rick Regan (who designs our poster each year), a silent auction of the original oil painting he created just for Cowgirl Christmas 2014, a free drawing for Sahran, the 2014 limited edition Breyer model, free cookie decorating for children, 15% off sale on Carhartt and Breyer and some really great vendors.  Cowgirl Christmas has its own website at where you can see the vendors who will attend and click on the name of their business to go directly to their website. This is a great opportunity for unique holiday shopping and it’s for a great cause!

All table money and the proceeds from the Silent Auction go to the Santa Fe Pony Club.  You can learn more about them at

Wednesday, March 5, at 7 p.m. at La Tienda
Reel New Mexico, the state’s only monthly film series dedicated to showing movies with a New Mexico connection, is excited to open its third season with “Homesick,” Susan Abod’s moving documentary about living with Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS) and her odyssey across the Southwest to find a location and a home that were safe for her to live in.
The screening, set for Wednesday, March 5, at 7 p.m. at The Performance Space in La Tienda at Eldorado, will be followed by a panel featuring Ann McCambell, MD, Susan Abod and Diane Thomas, all of whom have MCS.
Imagine your home is making you dangerously sick and new building materials and insecticides have become your worst enemies. In “Homesick,” Susan Abod hits the road to see what measures people with MCS will take to find safe housing and cope with this 21st Century illness.
Susan’s previous film, “Funny, You Don’t Look Sick,” dealt with her MCS experience. After its completion, “I felt compelled to make a second film that exposed the fast-growing impact of this illness and the critical importance of safe housing, by chronicling my own search for a safe home.
