“My three daughters know little of my childhood years, the many places I lived while growing up, and of my maternal grandparents with their distinctive old-world culture. As I mine these almost forgotten remembrances I realize how much my world differed from theirs. It is for them that I write.” — AJ Melnick

Linda Alessi writes a monthly column “In my Time” for THE COOPPA Guardian newspaper in Florida. She writes human interest articles. She published in 2007, Flowers for Momma, her first novel. She is a member of two writing groups and continues to expand her horizons.

“I’ve an 8 year old granddaughter who lives in Louisiana with very conservative parents. In the event she ever gets a wild hair and wonders about her DNA I wrote down my stories so she’d have a reference for living on the edge.” — Vinaya
