VGPL Spring Book Sale and Raffle!

Our Spring Book Sale will be held on the weekend of June 10-12, at La Tienda (Building A). We are especially grateful to Fred Richardson of Zia Financial Group, who has kindly made his beautiful space available to us.

Sale hours are:

Friday, June 10, 3 – 7 pm
Saturday, June 11, 10 am – 4 pm
Sunday, June 12, 1 – 4 pm

Expect to find a great collection of almost new fiction, both hardcover and paperbacks, DVDs, audiobooks, children’s books, and a wide assortment of nonfiction. There will also be some coffee table and gift books.

Buy a raffle ticket ($3) for a chance to win one of two great items for children (or for the young at heart!):

American Girl’s Kanani™ doll and paperback book. The American Girl website says about this doll, “Meet Kanani, our 2011 Girl of the Year! She loves to share the aloha spirit of Hawai’i with others. Kanani arrives wearing a bright tropical dress, a faux hibiscus flower, a pretend kukui nut necklace, ruffled sandals, and cotton underwear. She’s soft and huggable with long hair for styling. Includes the Aloha, Kanani paperback book.” American Girl provided this doll, valued at $100, to VGPL for the raffle.

Lego’s Hogwarts™ Castle Set. The Lego website says about this set: “Magic and mystery haunt the halls of the Hogwarts™ Castle! The Dementors have the Hogwarts™ School of Witchcraft and Wizardry surrounded, and an epic battle between Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort is looming! Harry and Dumbledore face He Who Must Not Be Named while Professors McGonagall and Flitwick try to keep the school safe. Explore this essential Harry Potter set to discover incredible details like Dumbledore’s office with sliding spiral staircase, the Slytherin and Gryffindor common rooms, and so much more! This set, valued at $130, was donated by a member of the Board of Directors.

Raffle tickets may be purchased at the Library or during the sale. The drawing for the winners will be held on June 24th, at 7 pm, during our monthly Family Movie Night (“Tangled”).

Have you ever considered about including a little bit more than just your articles?

I mean, what you say is fundamental and all. However
imagine if you added some great graphics or video clips to
give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with
images and clips, this blog could definitely be one of the most beneficial in its niche.
Good blog!
